We are happy to offer this email service to federal employees who have responsibility for or duties related to the executive branch ethics program and encourage you to continue to spread the word about the availability of this service to other interested employees in your agencies. Financial Disclosure News 1. OGE issued DAEOgram DT-02-021 dated September 27, 2002, announcing increased thresholds, retroactive to January 1, 2002, for the reporting of gifts, reimbursements and travel expenses on public and confidential financial disclosure reports. http://www.usoge.gov/pages/daeograms/dgr_files/2002/do02021.html 2. Annual SF 278 Public Financial Disclosure reports, covering calender year 2001, for all Senate-confirmed presidential appointees and DAEOs were due to OGE by September 16, 2002. OGE has not yet received, or been notified of the agency review status for about 290 (35%) of the total number of reports due. Please forward these reports or provide a report on the status of the review to OGE as soon as possible. Information concerning review status can be forwarded to Tom Zorn or Teresa Weakley. 3. Annual Confidential Financial Disclosure forms (OGE 450) covering the period October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002 will be due on or before October 31, 2002. Non-Federal Travel Reports The next semiannual report of payments of more than $250 accepted from non-federal sources under the authority provided in Section 1353 of title 31, United States Code should be submitted to OGE not later than November 30, 2002. The report covers payments received during the period beginning on April 1, 2002, and ending on September 30, 2002. Agencies are required to submit negative reports. OGE Ethics News and Information Archives All messages broadcast on this mailing list will be available through the on-line archives service provided by the Government Printing Office (GPO). To access a previous message follow these steps: 1. Go to www.gpo.gov and click on the GPOLISTSERV link. 2. Click on the "Online Mailing List Archives" link. 3. Select the OGE-ETHICSINFO-L list at the bottom of the page. 4. Select "Search the Archives." 5. You should now be on the "Search the OGE-ETHICSINFO-L archives" page. Type 'Welcome' in the "For" line then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Start the Search" 6. You should now be on the "Login Required" page. Click on "get a new LISTSERV password" link at the end of the first paragraph. 7. You should now be on the "Registering your LISTSERV password" page. Type in your email address, a password then retype the password. Click on the "register password" button. 8. Close the "Confirmation emailed" page and go to your regular email system. 9. You should have received an email from the ListServ asking you to confirm your request for a password. (This process is similar to your initial subscription to the Ethics News and Information Mailing list). Click on the link to confirm your request for a password. 10. You should now be able to access the Ethics News and Information Mailing list archives by following steps 1 through 5 above.
