OGE RULEMAKINGS Paperwork Reduction Act and SF 278 OGE has published in the Federal Register its second round paperwork notice announcing submission to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) of an unmodified SF 278 Executive Branch Personnel Public Financial Disclosure Report (03/2000 edition). OGE is requesting a three-year extension of approval for the SF 278 under the Paperwork Reduction Act. The notice indicates that agencies notify filers of the increased gifts/travel reimbursements reporting thresholds and Privacy Act Statement revisions. The notice also indicates that, should financial disclosure legislation be enacted in the future, OGE would revise the SF 278 accordingly and seek OMB paperwork and General Services Administration standard form approval at that time. See 68 FR 38043-38045 (06/26/03). Comments are due to OMB by July 28, 2003. The notice can be accessed at: http://www.usoge.gov/pages/laws_regs_fedreg_stats/fedreg_issuances/2003fedreg.html 2. OGE ETHICS NEWS AND INFORMATION ARCHIVES All messages broadcast on this mailing list will be available through the on-line archives service provided by the Government Printing Office (GPO). To access a previous message follow these steps: 1. Go to www.gpo.gov and click on the GPOLISTSERV link. 2. Click on the "Online Mailing List Archives" link. 3. Select the OGE-ETHICSINFO-L list at the bottom of the page. 4. Select "Search the Archives." 5. You should now be on the "Search the OGE-ETHICSINFO-L archives" page. Type 'Welcome' in the "For" line then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Start the Search" 6. You should now be on the "Login Required" page. Click on "get a new LISTSERV password" link at the end of the first paragraph. 7. You should now be on the "Registering your LISTSERV password" page. Type in your email address, a password then retype the password. Click on the "register password" button. 8. Close the "Confirmation emailed" page and go to your regular email system. 9. You should have received an email from the ListServ asking you to confirm your request for a password. (This process is similar to your initial subscription to the Ethics News and Information Mailing list). Click on the link to confirm your request for a password. 10. You should now be able to access the Ethics News and Information Mailing list archives by following steps 1 through 5 above.
