ETHICS SYMPOSIUM TO BE HELD IN DENVER The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is offering a three-day ethics symposium in Denver, Colorado, November 18-20, 2003. This symposium is being offered to ethics officials in the Denver area. The symposium consists of plenary sessions, training courses and roundtable discussions. The DAEOgram DO-03-017 announcing the symposium and the agenda can be accessed at: http://www.usoge.gov/pages/daeograms/2003daeolist.html 4. ETHICS PROGRAM REVIEW NEWS OGE recently issued a report of its review of the ethics program at the Department of Defense's (DOD) Office of the Secretary of Defense. We found that DOD has an excellent program. Under the leadership of William J. Haynes II, the Designated Agency Ethics Official (DAEO), and Daniel J. Dell'Orto, the Alternate DAEO, the program is well managed by Steve Epstein, Director, Standards of Conduct Office, and his staff. Mr. Epstein and his staff also provide support, including ethics training, to ethics counselors throughout DOD. In October, OGE will begin reviews at the Department of Education, the National Capital Planning Commission, and Fort Huachuca. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Back to: Top of message <#TOP> | Previous page | Main OGE-ETHICSINFO-L page ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Back to the LISTSERV home page at LISTSERV.ACCESS.GPO.GOV.
