REVISION OF THE UNOFFICIAL VERSION OF THE CRIMINAL CONFLICT OF INTEREST STATUTES The Office of Government Ethics has revised the unofficial version of the criminal conflict of interest statutes to incorporate the amendment to 18 U.S.C. section 207(c) made by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004 (Public Law 108-136). The law establishes a new standard for determining the applicability of the one-year post-employment restriction applicable to former "senior employees." The updated version of the conflict of interest statutes, in both English and Spanish, can be found in the International section of the OGE website at: http://www.usoge.gov/pages/international/internat_page.html 2. FREE THREE-DAY ETHICS SYMPOSIUM IN PHILADELPHIA The U.S. Office of Government Ethics is offering a free three-day ethics symposium in Philadelphia, PA, July 13-15, 2004. The symposium is offered to ethics officials in the Philadelphia area. Registration requests should be sent to Gwen Cannon-Jenkins at gcannon@oge.gov.
