OGE ISSUES DAEOGRAM REGARDING THE FILING REQUIREMENTS OF PUBLIC FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE REPORTS OF EXECUTIVE BRANCH OFFICIALS WITH OGE This year OGE is requiring that the public financial disclosure reports (SF 278s) of Presidential appointees confirmed by the Senate (PAS) and Designated Agency Ethics Officials (DAEO) be submitted to OGE for final review and certification as soon as approved by the agency/ department. Submitting these reports right after the agency/ department review has been completed will make OGE's review and follow up on any SF 278-related questions timelier. http://www.usoge.gov/pages/daeograms/2004daeolist.html 2. REQUIREMENTS FOR REQUESTING SCHEDULE C POSITION FILING EXEMPTION The Office of Government Ethics would like to remind agencies that for filing exemption requests to receive consideration, all requests must include 1) name, position, series and grade of employee under consideration, 2) formal position description, and 3) a cover letter stating why the employee meets the exemption criteria.
